Dr Das he explained the whole procedure in detail that I could understand
Having just visited the Fitzwilliam hospital Peterborough on the 20 October, for a complete hip replacement. Dr Philip Das visited me in my room, and discussed with me my various options for my procedure. He was very laid back and calm, which intern helped me relax. When we got to theatre I couldn't believe how relaxed Dr Philip Das was, even though, by this time I was very nervous. Just before my operation there was a delay of about fourty five minutes. At this point I expected, that Dr Philip Das would probably have to leave me on my own. But he didn't he stayed with me the whole time, reassuring me about my operation and what to expect. In my book he is a top man very professional.
Thank you, Dr Philip Das.
A great professional anaesthetist. It was him who drew my attention; when I worked there as a registrar; to the correct way of prescribing cyclizine as an antiemetic. Every time I prescribe it; his words flow into my ears and brain.
I felt quite comfortable with this man. He told me what was happening, treated me with dignity and respect and most importantly listened to my conditions and how they affect me. Namely my Polymyalgia which can flare up with trauma.
Doctor Das reassured me and followed up after my surgery, the next day, which was his day off. He was concerned that I had been in theatre longer than expected and wanted to make sure that all was well.
Friendly and relaxing. Gave me confidence in what he was doing. Helped put me at ease before the operation so would definitely recommend him.
